Each focused symposium is chaired by a recognised expert in the field who leads a group of speakers, drawn from several of World Physiotherapy’s regions, through a series of linked, evidence-based and internationally relevant presentations. Question time with the audience explores the issues raised, and the chair concludes with key messages and implications for practice.

Participants have the opportunity to explore hot topics with leaders in the field. Each session will start with brief introductory comments from the chair, followed by short statements from the panel, then questions from the audience. These sessions offer plenty of opportunities for lively debate before the chair makes their concluding comments.

An informal opportunity to meet and talk with colleagues who share common interests, without any presentations. The session chair will open and guide discussions, which often take place in small groups. All sessions consider how to continue the discussions after the congress.

Delivered by a diverse panel, clinical seminars address relevant practical questions using case studies. These sessions offer an engaging way to have in-depth discussions on clinical topics across the profession.

Developed by World Physiotherapy, these sessions will engage participants with aspects of the organisation’s work or address specific professional issues of global interest.

Each platform presentation, of selected abstracts, will last eight minutes, and be followed by three minutes for participants to ask questions. The session chair will lead the discussions between the audience and speakers.

Oral ePoster presentations will be scheduled in the programme and grouped by topic. The session chair will lead discussions between the audience and speakers. Speakers are given five minutes to discuss their ePoster with participants, using electronic screens.

Silent ePosters will provide an opportunity for people to share their ePoster without the need for an oral presentation. These are designed to accommodate the diverse communication preferences of speakers. Screens will be available to display silent ePosters.

Idobata is an informal meeting space that aims to break down the distinction between speaker and participant, providing inspiration and ‘food for thought’. Listening to stories and experiences, discover how these are shaping and advancing physiotherapy practice.
